The highest decision making power at CEPIFINE is held by the General Assembly, which consists of all the members. The General Assembly meets three times a year and elects the Board of Directors.

The CEPIFINE Board of Directors is vested with the power to undertake the activities necessary to achieve the purposes and objectives of the Association. The Board of Directors is headed by Mr. Paolo Mattei, Chairman, of Assocarta/Lecta-Garda; Mr Berry Wiersum, Vice-Chairman Coated, of VNP/Sappi; and Mr. Pedro Vaz Pinto, Vice-Chairman Uncoated, of CELPA/Portucel-Soporcel.

Upon decision of the Board of Directors, various Committees and Working Groups may be formed to engage in specific areas of the activities of CEPIFINE. Examples of such Committees are currently the Environmental Committee and the Statistics Committee.

The daily management of CEPIFINE is handled by a small secretariat in Brussels consisting of Managing Director Frank Leerkotte.
